We survived our first day back! Today we started with teacher introductions and then moved into a group activity. Each group had a series of tasks to complete in order to learn important information about English Language Arts 8. Here are the highlights from today:

1. Get to know a little more about some of your classmates

2. Select and label your student workbook

3. Select and label your composition notebook

4. Log into Schoology.com and join our course (code is posted in the front of the room)

5. Find Ms. Bauer's classroom website and bookmark the daily assignments blog

6. Read through the syllabus and learn important information about class materials, expectations, consequences, grading, late/absent work, technology, plagiarism, and more.

7. Explore the classroom and find these important locations:

- sign out sheet and passes

- dashboard with daily activities and each day's opening routine

- mailboxes for your graded and returned assignments

- Chromebook chargers

- classroom library check out

- extra copies of handouts

If you missed any of this important information, be sure to ask either a classmate or Ms. Bauer to make sure you are set up for success this year.
