1. Today we continued working on proofreading marks during our bellringer.
2. We started our review of the Write Tools writing routine by researching the facts behind Paul Revere's famous ride. We read the article "The Real Story of Paul Revere's Ride" and completed a 2-column chart on the "facts" and "fiction" of the famous legend.
3. We read and analyzed the prompt to write a contrast paragraph about the facts and fiction of Revere's ride. We reviewed the text, and brainstormed ideas to include in our paragraph. We organized our ideas into categories and chose which ones we wanted to use.
4. We reviewed how to make a T-chart planner that includes our Big Ideas from the brainstorm and supporting details. We also reviewed the Write Tools color-coding for a paragraph. Topic Sentence.
