1. Today we continued working on reviewing the Write Tools routine with our Paul Revere paragraphs.

2. We discussed using more sophisticated transition words this year, and then wrote our rough drafts.

3. Periods 1/3 and 4/5 were able to use several revision strategies such as reading their drafts to a partner, completing a paragraph analysis, and learning the do's and don'ts of a thesaurus.

4. We had our Pizza, Pies, and Soups kickoff assembly at the end of the day, and selling officially begins this weekend. Hopefully every student will be able to sell at least one item. This is our only fundraiser and helps pay for important events such as field trips.
