Tuesday

1. We continued studying nouns and verbs in today's bellringer about verb tense (past, present, future).

2. We discussed what a primary source was and looked at how the author of our novel, Laurie Halse, Anderson, uses excerpts from primary sources to introduce each chapter. These excerpts serve as foreshadowing or to provide historical context.

3. We read chapters VII - IX (pages 42-61) and answered 4 questions about the primary source excerpt located at the beginning of chapter III (page 13). These questions should be completed and ready to discuss and turn in at the beginning of class tomorrow.
