1. We took our capitalization quiz.
2. We reviewed our paraphrasing and summarizing of excerpts from The Declaration of Independence and John Locke.
3. We learned that source cards are used to keep track of the information needed from a source to create a works cited page. We learned about the 9 pieces of information to look for when using a research source.
4. We discussed some examples of British tyranny against the colonies, and then watched a video about the top 10 most censored countries in the world today. We discussed what censorship was and how it is a form of Tyranny.
5. We chose one of the countries to research and found one good source about our country and completed a source card for it. Then we read through the source looking for facts about its government and examples of tyranny. We used a combination of summarizing, paraphrasing, and quoting. We will finish our research Monday.
