Mathlete Monday

1. This week's bellringer is all about pronoun problems. Today we reviewed antecedents (the noun the pronoun is referring to) and the importance of our antecedent and pronoun matching in number. Single antecedents require single pronouns, while plural antecedents require plural pronouns. (click here for this week's bellringer practice)

2. We finished our research of a modern-day country that is suffering tyranny. We should have 2 completed source cards and research from both sources. We are looking for examples of how the people of this country are being denied basic human rights or experiencing harsh oppression from the government. Tomorrow we will plan, draft, and revise our research paragraphs.
