1. In our bellringer practice today we discussed how helping verbs create verb phrases and practiced finding them in sentences.

2. We revisited our discussion question on why we think Madam Lockton and Lady Seymour treat and see Isabel differently.

3. We read and annotated Howard Zinn's article, "Black and White" on the history of slavery and racism in the American colonies. We also marked text connections to Isabel, Lady Seymour, and Madam Lockton.

4. Once we finished the article, we went back to our discussion question and added to/changed it based on new text evidence we found in the article.

5. Don't forget to practice your Chains vocabulary at Vocab.com. The competition is heating up!
