Monday, 10-9

1. This week we are spending more time reviewing types of verbs. Our quizzes from Friday weren't wonderful, so we are going to do some more practice and take the quiz again this Friday. Today we're reviewing action verbs using IXL. Log into IXL and go to Level F (4th Grade) and complete D.1 and D.2 to 100% proficiency.

2. Next, we're back in Chains to find out what happens to Curzon. Read Chapters 24-26 (pages 206-231).

3. Our analysis question for this section is online this week (trying something new). Visit the Discussion tab on this website and click on Chains questions. It will ask you sign up - use your Google account. And then click back into the Chains section. There is one post in there for today's reading. After reading the discussion question, respond using a 3-part analysis answer (introduce your claim, cite text evidence & page number, and explain your reasoning).

4. Finally, I returned your oppressed country rough drafts today. I made many revisions and edits (everyone's paper is covered in purple, so don't feel defeated). Make the suggested revisions and edits on your original Google Doc (don't type a new one!), and submit the final draft to Schoology. There is a new assignment titled: Final Draft Oppressed Country research paragraph.
