1. This week our bellringer is Homophones Two. We are completing another round of words that sound the same, but have different meanings and often spellings.

2. Our research paper is trucking right along. We started today with reviewing the formula and criteria for a thesis statement and then moved into writing hooks for our introduction paragraphs. We connected our hook and our thesis with some background information to help it all flow together and everyone should have a working, rough introduction paragraph by the end of today! Tomorrow we'll start on the meat of our essay with our body paragraphs.
