1. For our bellringers, we are continuing to review for our Trimester Grammar Test on Monday, Nov. 20th.

2. Research Essay - typed drafts were due on Friday, Nov 10th. This week you should your draft returned to you on Google classroom with comments and suggestions. Make any necessary revisions and resubmit your final draft on Google classroom by Friday, Nov. 17th.

3. This week in class we are starting Unit 2 which focuses on speeches, spoken word poetry, and a play. The writing component will center around argument writing - defending claims with relevant evidence and clear reasoning.

4. Today we looked at rhetoric (ethos, pathos, logos - IXL J-P.5) and then examined Slip or Trip? a forensic cartoon for evidence. Notes and digital copies of the worksheet can be found on Google Classroom.
