1. Our bellringer practice this week is Sentence Types Two - quiz on Friday the 26th. Remember the practice worksheet is also due on the 26th.

2. Wednesday, we took our Elements of the Courtroom quiz - posted on Classroom. Remember the vocabulary study set link is also posted on Classroom. Use the Vocabulary Tag to help you find it. We free read for the rest of the day.

3. Thursday, we completed page 15 in our 12 Angry Men packets. We divided each evidence box into a right and left column. On the left side of each box, we jot dotted the information presented by the prosecution. For example: the knife was the murder weapon, it was a "one of its kind" in stock, the storekeeper admitted to selling it to the boy, and the boy admitted to buying it. Use Act I to complete the other pieces of evidence. Then, we read Act II and answered the questions on pages 16-17.

4. Friday, we re-enacted the dramatic scene at the end of the Act II, and then returned to page 15 of our packets. In the right hand side of each evidence box, we jot dotted what information the jury decided. For example: Juror 8 found the exact same knife at the corner store in the same neighborhood, making the knife not that rare and possibly not the murder weapon. We also completed the right side of the Old Man's Testimony using the juror discussions in Act II. Then, we watched Act II and completed page 18 of our packets - either drawing or writing a description of scenes that seemed more dramatic or interesting on film than when we read the play.
