Thursday, 1-25

1. Today was our last day to review Sentence Types Two. Practice worksheet is due tomorrow and then we'll take our quiz.

2. Today I passed out study guides for the Unit 2 Test - extra copies are posted in the room. The test will be Tuesday, Jan 30th. There is a Quizlet study set of term posted on Google Classroom.

3. Today we read the argument prompt on page 22 of our packets. We TAK-ed the prompt, reviewed the evidence on page 15, decided if we agree with the jury's verdict or not, and then brainstormed reasons why. We made a T-chart plan of our reasons and supporting evidence and then created our 4 topic sentences.

4. Tomorrow, after the quiz and free reading, we will finish drafting our argument paragraphs. Students who finish drafting will be able to find a quiet place to record their argument videos. Otherwise, tomorrow will our last day working on this assignment during class. Finished videos are due on Google Classroom by the end of the day next Wednesday, 1-31.
