Monday, 1-29

1. Our bellringer practice for this week and next week is Verb Problems. There are 2 major verb problems we are looking at. 1 - subject/verb agreement. A verb has to match its subject in number. Singular (one) subjects need singular verbs. Plural (more than one) subjects need plural verbs. 2 - tense. Our writing should not have unnecessary shifts in verb tense. We should be consistent in using either past, present, or future tense.

2. We have a BUSY week this week. It's the end of Unit 2 and we have multiple assessments. Tomorrow, Tuesday, is our Unit 2 test. A study guide went home last week, and extras are still available in the room. A link to the Quizlet study set is posted on Google Classroom.

3. Our Video Verdicts are due on Wednesday by the end of the day. We worked on them in class Thursday and Friday of last week. Instructions are on page 22 of your 12 Angry Men Packet and a link to the recording is attached to the assignment (posted on Google Classroom). When you've finished your video, download it to your downloads folder and then upload it to the assignment.

4. Our final public speaking performance task is scheduled for this Friday (2-3). We will be working on them all this week in class. The assignment is on page 23 in your 12 Angry Men packet. Today we TAK -ed the prompt, and completed the Audience, Content, and Organization boxes on pages 24-25. We also brainstormed our topic and started our T-charts. Your T-chart is due by the end of the day Tuesday.
