Mail Call (Tue/Wed 2/20 - 2/21)

1. Tuesday we started class with grabbing our new Language HW pages. Extras are in the copies center. We need to do both Monday and Tuesday's columns for class on Wednesday.

2. We continued reading Fallen Angels with an excerpt called Mail Call - all about the power of personal letters to and from the soldiers fighting in Vietnam. We read pages 1-the middle of 7 in Mail Call (click here for the reading).

3. Wednesday we'll finish the Mail Call section and answer the reading comprehension questions (extras in copies center).

4. Our creative writing/summary assignment for this section is to imagine we are Richie Perry and we're writing a letter home to either Mama or Kenny. The prompt is on page 17 of our packets and is due on Google Classroom by the end of the day Thursday.
