Learning Targets:

I can analyze the structure of a specific paragraph in "Equal Rights for Women," including the role of a particular sentence in developing a key concept.

I can analyze the development of a central idea in "Equal Rights for Women."

I can identify specific claims that Shirley Chisholm makes in "Equal Rights for Women."

First, we made five Discussion Partner Appointments. You will use these appointments to work with different partners through the rest of the unit.

Next, we worked with our Albany discussion appointment partner to analyze the paragraph structure of paragraph 10 in the speech "Equal Rights for Women."

Then, we divided the speech into six sections. With our partners, we reread and annotated the gist of each section.
